2024 in Memory: A Year of Unexpectedness and Shift!
As I look back on 2024, I’m amazed at how much can happen in just 365 days. It’s been a year of ups and downs, new beginnings, and unexpected twists. A year of pushing boundaries, embracing new challenges, and finding joy in unexpected places. Let’s dive into the highlights that made 2024 a year to remember.
A Tough Start
The year began with a heavy heart as we said goodbye to my dear nephew, Toni. She was the first baby I ever named, and losing her was really hard, it hits like hell. Her absence has been profound, and her memory will always stay close.
Exploration & Growth
Transformation: Windows to Mac
I invested in my dream device this year—a sleek M3 Pro MacBook, paving the way for more creativity and productivity. It’s been a dream come true and has already paid dividends in terms of productivity and performance. By the way, a lot more things yet to be done!
The Year of Writing
2024 was the year I really found my voice as a tech writer. I managed to pen down 20 articles across various platforms like Dev.to, Hashnode, and Medium, not to mention my own website. It’s been incredibly rewarding to share my learning and experiences with the wider dev community.
Speaking of my website, it got a major uplift this year. The renovation was long overdue, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. It’s now a true reflection of my professional and personal journey.
New Ventures
Newsletters
This year saw the birth of two new projects close to my heart – my newsletters. “Developer Data” keeps fellow devs in the loop with the latest tech trends and the data for developers, while “RD LifeNotes” is a more personal venture, sharing insights on life, productivity, and personal growth.
As a welcome gift of Developer Data – I’ve special tools collection which will helps dev to work more efficiently and effectively!
YouTube
This year, I decided to give YouTube a shot. While I’m not done anything significant yet, I’ve learned a ton and had fun doing it. Who knows? Maybe 2025 will be my year to shine there!
Growth and Achievement
On a personal note, 2024 was a year of significant milestones. I was honored to receive an award for completing 5 years at SJI – a testament to the incredible journey I’ve had with this company and truly blessed to work alongside great minds for a quarter of that journey.

Health and Productivity
Small Steps, Big Impact
This year, I focused on my health, successfully gaining weight and feeling better for it. Getting more comfortable and familiar with Exercise, Yoga, and Meditation. Anyway, I always like to be productive and creative, which makes me feel good and helps me to stay in happy state.
If you don’t know about Notion, let me briefly introduce, I’m a big fan of this tool. Notion is a productivity and note-taking web application, the one and only tool you need to organize your entire life. I experimented with these two template this year, which proved to be a game-changer for my productivity.
- Adopted a 12-week formula for planning and productivity in the last two quarters, and it’s been effective.
- Created a Second Brain using Notion—now my data and ideas are more organized and accessible than ever!
Travel and Purchases
Nepal: A Dream Destination Realized

2024 saw me ticking off a bucket list item – a trip to Nepal! The breathtaking landscapes and rich culture left an indelible mark on me. From the bustling streets of Kathmandu to the serene heights of the Himalayas, every moment was a new discovery.
Five days of trekking bliss in Langtang Valley, Nepal🇳🇵- reaching up to 12,795 feet (3,900 meters) at Kyanjin Gompa. The Langtang Valley Trek is truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Realizations for 2024
As I reflect on the year, here are some key realizations that have shaped my perspective:
- Action over planning: For projects and goals, be good at planning but be better at execution and taking action, because that’s what truly counts, not just what you planned!
- Pushing boundaries: Test your strength to the extreme – because most of your potential is still hidden – you don’t know it yet. So explore and become full-fledged!
- Precision in agreements: Make deals and contracts very precise – anticipate what worst may happen and prepare to take precautions accordingly.
- Resilience: Whatever hurts you most, don’t think it is the last one. Be prepared for bigger challenges that have yet to come!
- Continuous improvement: Self-improvement is a continuous process; it never happens overnight.

As we bid farewell to this transformative year, I find myself reflecting on the deep emotions, meaningful steps forward, and occasional stumbles that have shaped my journey. With gratitude for the lessons learned and the precious growth I’ve experienced, I’m carrying these insights into the new year with renewed focus and energy.
