2023: A Year of Challenges, Growth, and New Beginnings.
As I look back on the year that was, I can’t help but reflect on the challenges and victories, the highs and lows, the laughter and tears. This year was different, difficult, and full of unexpected turns. It was my first year without my father, a void that can never be filled. But life, as they say, goes on, and so must we.
This year, I found myself stepping into shoes I never thought I’d have to fill. I took on responsibilities I never imagined I’d have to shoulder. But life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? And in the face of adversity, I learned, adapted, and grew.
This Year’s Responsibilities:
- Family:
I’ve always been one to shy away from family occasions, preferring the comfort of my own space. But this year, life had other plans. I found myself at the helm of family gatherings, leading and participating in ways I never thought I would. And you know what? I kind of liked it. - Business:
I also had to step in and manage our family business alongside my job. It was a daunting task, given my lack of experience in the field. But I took it in stride, learning on the go, and setting up a system that could sustain the business for years to come. - Stocks:
My business studies came in handy this year when I had to take over my father’s portfolio. The world of stocks was a new one for me, , but I jumped right in. I learned how it all worked and pushed through, even when it was tough!
This Year’s Projects:
- Giftlawn:
A platform dedicated to making gift-giving a stress-free and joyful experience. This was a team effort and I couldn’t have done it without Reshad. Not just a younger brother, but also a supportive colleague and well-wisher. I feel incredibly grateful and thankful for his help and kindness in this project.
- InspireXcellence:
A dedicated space for individuals to accomplish personal progress, health, prosperity, and joy. This was born out of my deep sense of responsibility toward individual well-being and collective growth. I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts and interviews. From all that, I’ve picked out the best parts to share with everyone. It’s like finding the best bits from a big pile and giving them to you. I invite you to subscribe if you believe this content could bring some value to your life. Your journey towards personal growth could start right here! - Code By Rajon:
Code by Rajon is my new creation this year – a space to showcase my development skills. Since 2019, I’ve been into software development. I’ve always had my personal website, but something was missing – a place purely for my developer journey. So, I finally did it and built my very own development portfolio site! If you have any project in mind please checkout. - Switching Domain:
I had to make a hard choice recently. I decided to let go of RDC, a project close to my heart. Before, you could find me at rdcircles.com, but now, I’ll be at rajondey.com. There were many reasons for this change, but no matter what, you’ll always find me there.
This Year’s Most Challenging Task:
There’s always been a charm about four-wheelers for me, although I’ve never owned a car. Surprisingly though, this year took me on a different journey, riding a Suzuki Gixxer 155cc. It was a wild ride, full of speed and excitement. However, the thrill came with its share of spills, I met with several accidents! Despite a few falls, I loved every bit of it. I’m taking a short break now, but I’ll be back to revving up the engine and feeling the wind in my hair again!
This Year’s Trips:
While international travel wasn’t part of my schedule this year, I still made the most of it with many fun-filled short trips with friends. Each journey was a new adventure, packed with laughter, shared bonds, and memories that I’ll never forget.
As always, I got the chance to meet so many wonderful people. I enjoyed myself, laughed a lot, took plenty of photos, and learned so much. There were numerous gatherings – from office events to friends’ weddings and casual hangouts. Each one added something special to my year.
Among all these memories, a few stand out. I’ve captured these special moments on camera, but only when the mood was just right. So, here’s a sneak peek into some of the best times of the year!
This Year’s Books I Read:
This year, I dived into the world of books intending to read extensively. Although I couldn’t complete my long list, I did manage to finish a good number of them. Starting in 2022, I began to take reading more seriously, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying it. As time goes on, I anticipate that my love for books will only grow. I already have a lot of exciting books on my shelf that I’m eager to start reading. Anyway, I occasionally share my thoughts and insights about the books on Instagram. So, if you’re interested, feel free to check it out and perhaps you’ll discover your next favorite book!

This Year’s Realizations:
Clarity is the most important for any endeavor you want to pursue – assumption is the wrong medium to ride life!
People may react in ways that are beyond your expectations, and over which you have no control. Stay quiet is the best thing you can do at this time. It has always worked for me!
Making or breaking Habits should not be your target, being conscious should be!
Career & Learnings:
This year unfolded successfully on my career path. I was thrilled to step up as Module Lead, a recognition of my dedication and persistent efforts. At the same time, I didn’t shy away from broadening my horizons, diving into new areas like React & Next JS, NodeJs, and ThreeJs Animations among several other exciting technologies.
A notable shift was migrating from a Windows to a Linux operating system, a move that added another feather to my professional cap. Further, I devoted a substantial chunk of time to compiling my development portfolio and commits a fair amount of code on GitHub. This year has indeed been productive and quite a leap in my learning curve too.

I open my arms wide to embrace 2024, ready to make the most of the opportunities it presents. Here’s to a new year bursting with hope, radiating joy, and offering endless possibilities.
